Cookie policy

Last updated:

This is a translation for your convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.

In short: this website sets no cookies, neither its own nor those of other providers. That’s why there is no banner asking you to agree to anything.

What is stored in your browser

The website stores two small entries in your browser’s storage (local storage). They never leave your device and are not transferred to any server.

EntryPurposeDuration
kg-themeyour choice between light, dark and your device’s settinguntil you delete it
kg-cookie-hinweisthat you have closed the “No cookies here” noteuntil you delete it

Both entries are necessary for features you choose yourself. Under Section 25 (2) No. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG), this requires no consent.

Audience measurement without cookies

To see which pages are read, I use Plausible Analytics. Plausible works without cookies, stores no IP addresses and doesn’t recognize you across several days or websites. The data is stored on servers in Germany. More on this in the privacy policy.

No content from other providers is embedded on this website, so there are no maps, videos or social media posts. Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Xing only open the respective provider’s page when you click them. That provider’s cookie rules then apply there.

Editing area

The area for editing content at /keystatic sets cookies for signing in via GitHub. It is intended only for me as the operator; visitors to the website can’t access it.

Deleting stored entries

You can delete the entries at any time in your browser settings, usually under “Privacy” and “Site data” or “Cookies and site data”. After that, the note about cookies appears once more, and the website follows your device’s setting again.

Questions

How I handle your data is explained in the privacy policy. If you have questions, you can reach me via the contact page.
